AMBATOVY DYNATEC

The Ambatovy project is among our largest international project.

Characterized by a long life cycle and vast production capacity, the AMBATOVY DYNATEC project includes many installations which treat and refine nickeliferous laterite in order to produce 99.9% pure nickel briquettes.
Relying on a $4.5 billion investment, the mining company resulting from this project will become, once fully operational, the largest nickeliferous nickel mine in the world.

CON-V-AIR provided the storage and lime pneumatic conveying system as well as the high purity nickel and cobalt handling system for the treatment plant located in southern Toamasina, which is dedicated to ore treatment and refining processes.

ALCOA MOSJØEN ANODE ANS

Alcoa Mosjøen Anode ANS is a paste producing plant that is owned 64% by Norsk Alcoa Investment AS and 36% by Alcoa Norway ANS.
With Alcoa Norway as its Managing Partner the paste plant started regular production late September 2007.

The annual capacity of 290,000 tons of prebaked anodes, a raw material essential to the “potroom process”, represents an annual capacity of 100,000 tons for the Alcoa Mosjoen plant and 190,000 tons for the Alcoa Fjardaal plant located in Iceland.

In the context of this project, CON-V-AIR implemented a handling system allowing to move carbon dust from the silo to the plant, where the anode paste is being produced.

Location : Norway
Achievement year : 2008
